This year, silkworm growers in the western part of the country plan to produce 50 tons of silkworms and hand them over to the state. Currently, 1250 boxes of silkworm larvae, adapted to the natural conditions of the Balkan velayat, have been transferred to experienced silkworm breeders on the basis of relevant agreements.

Silk growers have concluded agreements with the enterprise for the reception and drying of fiber. They are confident that their contractual obligations will be fulfilled efficiently and successfully.

Of the 50 tons of silk that will be produced in the western region of the country, 30 tons fall on the share of silk growers of the Magtymguly etrap.

The silk growers of the Gyzylarbat etrap also undertake to produce 16 tons, and the silk growers of the Bereket etrap - 4 tons of silk.

Today, Balkan silkworm growers continue to work tirelessly to take care of their silkworms.

By the way, the correct provision of heat, humidity, light levels and ventilation of the feeding room give their positive results.

According to experts, silkworm seeds imported from the People's Republic of China are successfully grown in our country.

These seeds are distinguished by universal reliability, productivity, including high disease resistance.

Also in the velayat there are sufficient stocks of mulberry orchards for the demanded nutrition of the silkworm. It is worth noting that their number is increasing every year.
