The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the final of second season of the intellectual competition "Young Messengers of the World" among the country's high school students.
The final game featured the eight leaders of the second season of the project, which consisted of the winners of the two semifinal games held at the university at the end of April this year. The finalists included 6 boys and 2 girls, students of 10-11 grades of schools in Ashgabat, Mary velayat and Dashoguz velayat. All of them worthily performed in the four games of the qualifying stage and the semi-finals of the competition, and were able to establish themselves as leaders, vividly demonstrating to the jury their diverse knowledge, erudition, talents and abilities.
The Grand Prix and the passing Cup of the "Young Messengers of the World" was won by Ykhlas Halliyev, a student of the 11th grade of the special boarding music school of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M.Kulieva. It should be noted that Ykhlas is a multiple winner of the competition. He won the honorary first place in the first season of the project last academic year, and this time he rose to the highest step of the podium, winning the Grand Prix of the competition.
The first place according to the results of the second season went to Aygul Sakhedova, a 10th grade student of specialized secondary school №35 with in-depth study of foreign languages of Sakarchage etrap, Mary velayat.
The second places were taken by Dovletmyrat Arazov, a student of the 11th grade of the capital's specialized secondary school № 86 and Davut Gezerov, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized school with in-depth study of English and humanities in the city of Mary, Mary velayat.
Four players were awarded the third place. They are Mekan Agakhanov, a student of the 11th grade of secondary school № 16 in Ashgabat, Anvar Bekmedov, a student of the 10th grade of secondary school № 24 in the city of Dashoguz, Dashoguz velayat, Guljan Serdarova, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized school with in-depth study of humanities and English in the city of Mary, Mary velayat and Azat Amansakhedov, a student of the 10th grade of a specialized secondary school № 43 in the city of Shatlyk of Sakarchage etrap, Mary velayat.
All eight participants who reached the finals rightfully won prizes in the competition, which were distributed among the players by the decisive final intellectual battle. The final test was held on the theme "The Tree of the World — the continuity of generations". And the motto of the entire second season was "Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace: a culture of peace in the diplomatic heritage of the ancient era."
The participants were evaluated with all rigor and fairness by members of the competent jury, which included Yazgylych Orazgylyjov, the chief researcher of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, laureate of the Economic Cooperation Organization Award in the category "History, Culture, Literature and Fine Arts", Begench Karayev, the senior lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Sapar Berdiniyazov, the senior lecturer at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan.
The winners and prize-winners of the second season of the project were awarded diplomas of relevant degrees, medals and certificates of honor from the university - organizer of the project at the conference hall of the Higher School of Diplomacy. The young intellectuals also received valuable gifts from the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and other sponsors of the event - the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the State Association "Turkmenhaly", OJSC "Abadan haly", ES "Aýdyň gijeler", ES "Muhammet Balkan", IE "Ýedi Dogan", ES "Yupekçi".
Turkmen viewers will be able to watch the broadcast of the competition in the near future. Filming and recording of the final game of the project was carried out by the "Miras" TV channel of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography together with the IMO TV Studio of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
The second season of the grandiose project "Young Messengers of World" has been completed, which lasted almost throughout the entire 2022-2023 academic year. Dozens of participants, high school students from all over the country, dreaming of a diplomatic career in the future, performed within the framework of the career–oriented project of the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the School of Young Diplomats. We wish success and fulfillment of dreams to this year's school graduates, whose entrance exams to the university are not far off.
