Athletes of Turkmenistan returned to their homeland with 29 medals from the international tournament «Balt Cup-2023» in taekwondo of the non-Olympic version of the ITF, which was held in the capital of Estonia.
Competitions brought together more than 300 athletes from 8 countries, including Austria, Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Estonia.
The team of Turkmenistan at the tournament was represented by 17 ITF taekwondo masters, who won a total of 15 gold, 9 silver and 5 bronze medals.
It is noteworthy that our team became the best in team fights, defeating the representatives of Estonia in the final.
It is also gratifying that this is not the first success of ITF taekwondo masters from Turkmenistan at international competitions this year. Two months ago, our compatriots won 19 medals (10 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze) at the 1st ITF Central Asian Taekwondo Championship held in Tashkent.
These achievements are the result of the successful implementation of the state policy aimed at making efforts and creating excellent conditions in the country for the training of professional athletes.
