On the eve of the New Year, the Turkmen capital has transformed, getting dressed in the festive attire, sparkling with the lights of illuminations. The palaces and apartment houses, streets and squares, trees and lawns are decorated with fairy lights and solemn New Year’s symbols. Festively decorated New Year’s trees are installed in front of office buildings, shopping centres, square and parks. Styled installations surrounded by the symbols of the coming year – fiery rooster and fairytale heroes decorate separating lawns.



“We did our best so that the New Year’s decorations in Ashgabat present the feeling of magic transformations and miracle, draw joyful emotions”, Head of Department for Coordination of works on education, health care, culture, public organisations and mass media of the Ashgabat Khyakimlik Durdy Annakulyev said.

Ashgabat is especially beautiful at night, when New Year’s fairy lights sparkle with coloured lights and original illumination of buildings filling the city with the atmosphere of the New Year’s enchanting spectacle. The Venue for the festivities – the fairytale place, located on the square in front of the Älem Entertainment Centre. The 30-metre archway, sparkling with hundreds of thousands of colourful lights leads to the New Year’s fairy tale, the the Main New Year’s Tree of the country runs the show.
