President Serdar Berdimuhamedov: Our main task - considerably to raise the level of social and living standards of our people

In events of the past week priorities of the policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov- expansion of economic partnership and humanitarian relations in interests of universal peace, well-being, progress, social and economic prosperity of our fatherland and maintenance of happy life of people found their reflexion.

Issues of development of regions of the country were considered at the working meeting, which the head of the state held online with participation of khyakims of velayats on June 5.

Heads of administrations of regions were entrusted to keep a strict control over the quality and terms of construction of various projects carried out within the framework of “Program for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028“ and National rural development program and planned to be put into operation in the current year.

On June 7, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the regular meeting of the State Security Council. Its agenda included results of activity of military and law enforcement bodies for five months of this year, issues of security and tranquillity in the independent Turkmen state, strengthening of technical and material basis of security departments and further improvement of their work.

Past week the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution, which commissioned the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers to provide creation of the system of electronic information exchange of the E-CMR of «Türkmenawtoulaglary" agency and also together with the Ministry of Adalat within a month to prepare and submit to the Cabinet of Ministers a proposal on amendments and additions to the legislation of Turkmenistan, proceeding from the present Resolution. The document was signed in connection with the joining of Turkmenistan “Protocol Additional to the Convention on the Contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) concerning the Electronic Consignment Note “and also with a view of further perfection of registration of commodity-transport waybill.

On June 8-9, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán made a two-day official visit to our country.

During the meeting of National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the head of the government of Hungary an exchange of opinions on the present state and prospects of further development of partnership on a wide spectrum of areas, including the strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations took place.

On June 9, negotiations between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban took place.

During the meeting issues of intensifications of bilateral relations in the spheres of mutual interest. Adherence of the parties to constructive interaction in the multilateral format, within the framework of authoritative international organisations was also confirmed.

On June 10, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which summed up the work of branches of national economy for five months of the current year and considered some issues of state life and drafts of some documents.

At the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on purchase of four aircrafts of model Boeing 737-8 and two airliners of model Boeing 777-367ER.

The head of the state approved the Strategy of international cooperation of the youth of Turkmenistan for 2023-2030 and draft Roadmap for 2023-2024 for the development of international cooperation aimed at studying the issue of Turkmenistan joining the Global Methane Commitment (GMO).

The President of Turkmenistan signed the Decree to allow a trip of 289 pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for fulfilment of the hajj from June 22 to July 15, 2023. The document commissions the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers to organise a special flight for delivery of pilgrims to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and back at the expense of "Türkmenhowaýollary" agency.

Past week, in the Mejlis credentials from the newly appointed Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to Turkmenistan Valeriu Chiveri and the Arab Republic of Egypt to Turkmenistan Nazih Ali Bahaeldin Al-Naggari were received.

On June 6, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting, at which issues of erection of industrial objects within the framework of the second phase of construction of the city of Arkadag, in particular, public health services systems were discussed.

A special emphasis was made on necessity of conduction of corresponding research work by doctors and scientists in the field of medicinal properties of plants growing in one of the most beautiful corners of nature in our country, with favourable climate and vivifying force of the cleanest spring water.

On June 5, in the big conference hall of the office building of the Agricultural complex of Turkmenistan the scientific-practical conference “Achievements in the field of preservation of environment and international cooperation in this sphere in the year under the motto” The happy youth with Arkadag Serdar”, dated to World Environment Day took place.

Heads and experts of nature protection bodies and sectoral departments, scientific community, higher education institutions and public associations of the country and also authoritative international and regional organisations – UN Development Program, United Nations Environment Programme, United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC), German Agency for International Cooperation and others took a direct as well as online part in the event.

The same day in the small conference hall of the office building of the Agricultural complex of Turkmenistan the online forum “Creative ideas on water resources management for sustainable development of water bodies in Central Asia” took place.

In the review, it should be noted that the grain harvest season in Turkmenistan confidently grows. Following farmers of Akhal, Lebap and Mary regions, Dashoguz and Balkan velayats also joined the harvest of winter grain.

Past week, Ashgabat hosted the international sports tournament – Central Asian Team Tennis Championship among boys and girls under 12 years old. Throughout five days in the Tennis complex of the capital Olympic village sportsmen from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan held fascinating contest not only for medals, but also for two passes to the final stage of the Asian Championship.

On June 10, in Ashgabat, on the square in front of the Constitution Monument, an awarding ceremony of graduates of the Military Academy, Military Institute named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi the Great of the Ministry of Defence, Boundary Institute, Institute of National Security and Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and also cadets of the faculty of military medicine of the State Medical University named after Myrat Garryev took place. In Avaza national tourist zone, on the square, where the flagstaff with the National flag was erected, and diplomas of higher education, breastplates and military identification cards were handed solemnly to graduates of the Naval Institute of the Ministry of Defence.

Thus, events of the past week demonstrate success of a complex work carried out in the Era of Rival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for maintenance of sustainable development of national economy, all-around development of regions of the country, strengthening of positions of Turkmenistan among industrially developed states of the world, wide introduction of innovative technologies and the most important thing - further increase of standards of living of people.
