Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan successfully performed at the International Chemistry Olympiad named after Abu Raykhan Beruni, organized for the first time by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan and held in the city of Khiva.
Six bronze medals following the results of the Olympiad were awarded to the 10th grade students of the Ashgabat Specialized General Education Boarding School named after S. Turkmenbashy Mekan Ahmedov, Shatlyk Batyrov, Mahrijemal Gundogdyyeva, Adyl Serdarov, Jeren Akmyradova, as well as the tenth grade student of the capital's secondary school №37 Ogulbayram Berdimyradova.
130 schoolchildren from 16 countries of the world took part in the international chemistry review. Including Germany, Turkey, Azerbaijan, India, Vietnam, Algeria, Brazil, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Oman, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The competent jury of the Olympiad included academicians, professors and experienced specialists from Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and other countries. The International Olympiad was held in two rounds among schoolchildren aged 15-18. The knowledge and potential of the participants of the Olympiad were evaluated by the jury through written and practical laboratory work.
