Today in the capital and velayats of Turkmenistan, an admission campaign to higher and secondary vocational educational institutions of the country has started.
The terms of the admission campaign-2023, which will be held from the 17th of July to 28th of August, are approved by the relevant Order of the President of Turkmenistan, signed on the 14th of July this year at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In particular, documents are accepted in velayat centres and Ashgabat from 17th to 30th of July, then, on 2nd of August, entrance exams will begin in universities and vocational schools of the country, which will last until 28th of August.
A specially created State Commission began working with applicants in the field, the composition of which was also approved during the government meeting. The State Commission is called upon to carry out organizational and methodological management of admission to study at universities and vocational schools of the country and ensure its implementation in the prescribed manner.
The procedure for admission to study at universities and vocational schools of Turkmenistan in 2023 was published on the 15th of July in the country's central print media. It contains detailed information about the specialties offered by educational institutions, the areas of training, the required documents for admission, the deadlines for their submission, the conduct of entrance exams and the subjects for which exams will be held for applicants.
In addition, this Procedure names the categories of applicants out of competition and enjoying the priority right when enrolling in the number of students, subject to successful passing of entrance exams, as well as addresses and contacts of universities and vocational schools of the country.
It should be noted that within the framework of the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the head of state instructed to admit talented, most worthy representatives of the younger generation to the educational institutions of the country, to conduct entrance exams in an organized and fair manner, ensuring public control.
