A rich harvest of fruits and vegetables has been harvested in the Dashoguz velayat. So, in the summer, two thousand tons of cucumbers, over twenty-four thousand tons of tomatoes, about ten thousand tons of cabbage, over thirteen thousand tons of carrots are harvested here.
The main producers of these crops were mainly the farmers of the Akdepe etrap, where a lot of experience in their cultivation has been accumulated. Agrarians of the Boldumsaz etrap also made a significant contribution to the production of vitamin products. At the same time, tens of thousands of tons of onions and more than seven hundred tons of carrots are planned to be harvested from the fields in the fall in the velayat.
Potato growers of the region also successfully coped with the tasks assigned to them, harvesting tubers from eight thousand eight hundred hectares in a reasonable time.
Despite the weather and climatic conditions, Dashoguz velayat is one of the largest producers of fruit and vegetable crops in the country. A consistent increase in the volume of their cultivation occurs on a scientific basis, taking into account the agro-ecological characteristics of the region.
In accordance with the requirements, much attention is paid to the rational use of sown areas and water resources, the use of the most advanced agrotechnical methods of cultivating crops, and the skillful use of an extensive fleet of specialized equipment. All this, taken together, makes it possible to provide the consumer market with demanded products all year round and maintain affordable prices for them.
