The awarding ceremony took place in Lebap Velayat Khyakimlik that brought together the heads and representatives of the velayat and etrap khyakimliks, public organisations as well as the elders, agricultural workers and the youth.
Those speaking during the ceremony noted that ambitious investment projects that fundamentally changed the life in rural areas had been implemented within the framework of the National Programme of the President of Turkmenistan for the improvement of social and living conditions in villages, settlements, towns in etraps and entrap centres for the period till 2020, the National Rural Programme, the General Programme on supplying drinking water to villages in Turkmenistan as well as other large-scale state programmes.
That is vividly testified by Farab Etrap in Lebap Velayat, where industrial enterprises and social facilities have been built and the large-scale work on improvement of the living conditions, increasing the spiritual and cultural level and bringing up physically strong generation has been done. The drinking water plant was put into operation in the etrap with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in 2015. The project on the construction of the important transport facilities – highway and railway bridges – Atamyrat – Farab is under completion.
According to the rules of the contest, the winner was selected based on many criteria. Within a year, the special commission considered such indicators as the fulfillment of contractual obligations of the cotton and wheat campaigns, implementation of regional projects in the context of construction of important facilities as well as employment issues, environmental aspects, organization of cultural entertainment, provision of medical services, popularization of sports and physical culture among local population.
Those speaking congratulated the Farab Etrap citizens on the high award. The ceremony continued in the administrative centre of Farab Etrap with the competitions of Turkmen wrestlers, national games, concerts, etc.
