President of Turkmenistan received the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Homiddin Sharifzoda.
Having expressed the gratitude for the time spared for the meeting, the diplomat presented his credentials and conveyed warm greetings and best wishes form President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
Having highlighted deep interest of his country in further expansion of fruitful dialog with independent neutral Turkmenistan, the Ambassador noted that he is pleased with his appointment to our country. It was mentioned that Tajikistan highly esteems and comprehensively supports peace-loving policy of the Head of Turkmenistan and its international initiatives aimed at consolidation of peace, security and sustainable development t of the region and the world.
Having thanked for warm words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed best wishes to the leaders and people of friendly state. The Head of the State also expressed the gratitude to Tajik side for actual support of constructive initiatives of sovereign Turkmenistan, successfully implementing legal status of neutrality in establishment of the relations of understanding, good neighbourhood and beneficial cooperation with all countries of the planet and with close neighbours, in the world political arena.
During share of the opinions on the prospects of development of Turkmen – Tajik relations, it was highlighted that both countries are willing to improve gained experience of fruitful cooperation, supporting it by large-scale projects realized for the interests of the whole Central Asian region. The project of construction of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Tajikistan railroad, initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and supported by participating countries, is indicative in this regards. The start of the project is summoned to give new stimulus to the development of regional transport network and promotes activation of trade and economic relations in Eurasia.
It was mentioned that realization of this exclusively important project is considered as another evidence of the community of opinions of our countries with regards to the development of the Central Asian region and mutual intent to establishment of efficient model of interstate dialog.
Having stated with delight high level of Turkmen – Tajik relations, which are successfully developed in bilateral and multilateral formats, under largest international organization and competent regional structures, the Head of the State and the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan highlighted great importance paid to the activity of Intergovernmental Commission for trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation for further diversification of the activity in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
At the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished Farrukh Homiddin Sharifzoda success in his work, having expressed the confidence that the Diplomat would make considerable contribution to consolidation of productive partnership in mutual interests.
