The Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) highly appreciated the work of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan in organizing the Central Asian Team Championship among children under 12 in Ashgabat. The ATF leaders called the regional championship, held in June 2023 in the Olympic Town of the Turkmen capital with the participation of the teams of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, a benchmark and an example of the organization of tennis competitions. This was announced during the international seminar in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), organized by the Asian Tennis Federation for the heads of national associations for the development of this sport in Asia.

On the sidelines of the forum, which was attended by representatives of 32 countries, Eziz Dovletov, Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan (TFT), held meetings with Kitsombat Euammongkol, President of the Asian Tennis Federation and Manpreet Kandhari, Executive Director of the Asian Tennis Federation.

Expressing gratitude for the support and invitation to the seminar, the TFT head discussed with the ATF leaders the prospects for cooperation and further development of tennis in Turkmenistan and the region.

During the meeting, it was stressed that TFT attaches great importance to the development of tennis in Turkmenistan and strives to improve the level and quality of the athletes' game.

The Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, which last year was headed by Eziz Dovletov, the master of Sports, winner of the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone Group IV, winner of many international and national tournaments, member of the international working group under the ITF President on the providence of the Davis Cup and the Billie Jing King Cup, also pays great attention to the education of coaches, professional growth of their skills. Thus, today in Turkmenistan, more than 40 certified coaches, who have completed the introductory course of ITF Play Tennis, work with children and beginners, and the number of mentors, who have ITF Level 1 certificates,` has already increased to 18 people.
