Students of the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan became the winners of the brain ring, which was held in Ashgabat as part of the Week of High Technologies in Turkmenistan.

The second place was taken by the team of the International University of Humanities and Development of Turkmenistan, and the bronze of the intellectual competition went to the team of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of the country.

Brain-ring on the topic "Youth and Innovation" was organized by the United Nations Development Program in Turkmenistan and the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat.

It was held in three rounds on topics such as the smart city of Arkadag, the promotion of women and girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) and the role of youth in harnessing the power of technology and innovation to accelerate the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.

The competition is aimed at expanding the potential of young people, increasing their awareness of modern innovative technological solutions.

William Leaf, Political Officer of the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat, noted that the OSCE Centre in Ashgabat closely works with Turkmen youth in many different areas, including in the field of improving cybersecurity capabilities. Thus, a Cyber/ICT Security Center of Excellence was established in one of the higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
