National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited German companies to participate in the implementation of projects in the field of water use in Turkmenistan.
Hero-Arkadag made such a proposal at a meeting of the heads of delegations of Central Asian countries and the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany in Berlin.
Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the lack of water resources is a serious problem in many regions of the world today, which is caused by global climate change, large-scale and sometimes uncontrolled economic activities of economic entities of individual states.
According to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Turkmenistan, as a party to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, the Paris Agreement and other multilateral international acts in the field of environmental protection, is firmly on the path to fulfilling its international environmental obligations.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty reminded that, in particular, the country is implementing comprehensive measures aimed at preserving and rationally using water resources.
«We see the implementation of these measures in close cooperation with international organizations and foreign states. In this context, I propose that German companies consider the implementation of various projects in the water sector of Turkmenistan», –Hero-Arkadag emphasized.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, first of all, among them noted such a mega-project as the comprehensive modernization of the operational infrastructure of the Garagum River (Garagum Canal).
