On October 3, the 1st Cyber Security Summit "Cyber Security Central Eurasia 2023" began its work in Tashkent. Along with foreign delegates, the first day of the forum was attended by representatives of the Agency "Turkmenaragatnashyk".
The general theme of the forum is devoted to the importance of cyber security in the digital world: solutions, threats and cooperation in terms of protecting critical infrastructures and businesses.
The main objective of the CSS 2023 is to create a high–level international interactive platform for regional cyber communities in order to exchange experience, demonstrate modern solutions and open up opportunities for new mutually beneficial partnership.
The plenary session featured more than 40 speakers representing companies from around the world, including Khajymurad Khudaigulyev, head of the "Turkmenaragatnashyk" Agency. Later, on the sidelines of the forum, he met with Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the talks, the sides discussed the possibilities to develop bilateral cooperation in the field of cyber security, information protection from cyber threats, training specialists in information and communication technologies and information security, and development of digital economy.
The two-day summit is attended by more than 250 delegates representing 130 companies from 24 countries, including regulators from such states as Oman, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Japan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, as well as the International Telecommunication Union, FIRST, OIC-CERT.
The conference, consisting of high-ranking decision makers, cyber security experts and end-users, will explore the dynamically developing global configuration of risks, as well as how cyber security can help the countries of the region to take full advantage of the socio-economic benefits offered by digitalization.
The 1st Cyber Security Summit will end on October 4.
