There has been a change of leader in the Turkmenistan Futsal Super League. Having gained a willful victory over Ashgabat’s "Kopetdag" - 3:2 in the 16th round, the current country champion "Denizchi" from Turkmenbashi city has taken the top spot in the tournament table.

The game took place at the sports hall of the first sports school in the city of Mary, which hosts the first three rounds of the final stage of the national championship.

"Denizchi" and "Kopetdag" have met twice before this. In the match of the first round of the Turkmenistan Super League, "Kopetdag" secured a minimal victory with a score of 1:0 in Dashoguz. A draw was recorded in the second round match in Ashgabat - 4:4.

The third match between the contenders for the championship was equally intense.

Shiri Bairamdurdyev, after a rebound, scored a goal in the opening game, putting "Denizchi" ahead with a score of 1:0.

A few minutes later, the team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan was able to equalize the score, but Gurbangeldi Sahedov failed to realize a double penalty kick awarded for the 6th team foul. The goalkeeper Meretgeldi Bairamov played exceptionally well in this episode, parrying the shot. However, after 3 minutes, G. Sahedov redeemed himself by equalizing the score - 1:1.

Shortly after, Kerven Annaorazov scored the second goal, and the teams went into halftime with a score of 2:1 in favor of "Kopetdag".

In the second half, the team of the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi was able to turn the game around. The hero of the final 20 minutes was Akmyrat Durdyev, who first put the ball into the net on the far post after the out, and then scored a second goal after 3 minutes, securing a determined victory for the reigning two-time champion of Turkmenistan.

After this game, "Denizchi" scored 40 points and moved to the top of the tournament table, surpassing "Kopetdag" (38 points), which suffered its second consecutive defeat after losing in the previous round to "Migration" - 2:5.

In other matches of the 16th round, the teams "Turan" and "TCOR" ended in a draw - 1:1, while "Migration" achieved their second consecutive victory, defeating "Senagatbank" - 2:1.

Despite the defeat, "Senagatbank" with 30 points continues to share the 3rd-4th places with the team "Gumrukchi". The top five strongest teams are completed by "Migration" with 27 points.
