During government session on February 24, Vice-premier, Head of the MFA Rashid Meredov informed President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the outcomes of working visit of our delegation to Russian Federation for participation in the 10th session of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Russian Commission for Economic Cooperation held on February 20 – 21 in Moscow.
It was mentioned that during the meeting, current situation of bilateral trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian relations were analysed, priority vectors of their development were specified and new perspective directions of cooperation were defined. By the outcomes of the session, number of documents including relative Protocol and the Programme of Economic Cooperation between the Governments of Turkmenistan and Russian Federation for 2017 – 2019 were signed. The Plan for execution of this Programme was also adopted.
During the visit, the members of Turkmen delegation had a meeting with Prime Minister of Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev where the willingness of Russian side for further intensification of interstate relations was confirmed. The talks in the MFA of Russian Federation were also organized and resulted in signing of the Programme of Cooperation between the ministries of foreign affairs of two countries for 2017.
