In the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state, the energy policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, consistently implemented, is aimed at the comprehensive development of the domestic oil and gas complex.

As a result of the relevant work carried out by the State Concerns «Türkmennebit» and «Türkmengaz» at the expense of national investments aimed at producing additional volumes of oil and natural gas through exploration and development of oil and gas fields in the last two years in the country, at well №29 of the «Tagtabazar» gas field I» an industrial flow of gas without sulfur was obtained. The well's productivity is 226.4 thousand cubic meters of natural gas and 6.04 tons of gas condensate per day. Also, drilling work was successfully completed at the «Uzynada» field, and an influx of gas condensate with an average productivity of over 60 tons per day was obtained from three wells of this field.

The result of drilling work carried out at the «Uzynada» field is another evidence of the implementation of the valuable recommendations of Hero-Arkadag given during his working trip to the Balkan velayat on the 13th of January, 2022.

Also, the State Corporation «Türkmen¬geologiýa» carried out drilling work at well №312 of the «Galkynyş» gas field, and received an influx of natural gas. The productivity of this well is 1.7 million cubic meters of «blue fuel» per day, a significant increase in this figure is expected.

Having relied on deeper and more complex processing of natural gas, Turkmenistan not only consolidated its position in the world market as the largest supplier of energy resources, but also qualitatively changed the nature of its presence on it due to the diversification of the commodity structure of exports, the active development of new forms of international energy business.

Currently, global trends in sustainable development, and primarily in environmental issues, are coming to the fore. In this context, building up partnerships in the field of processing energy resources and exchanging modern technologies within the framework of new environmental standards, attracting investors to supply advanced special equipment to our country, introducing environmentally friendly production are among the main directions of work in the context of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

In order to fulfill the tasks arising from international obligations on environmental protection, including the implementation in our country of the Paris Agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, as well as broad cooperation with developed countries of the world, authoritative international organizations and large companies, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution according to which the Roadmap for the development of international cooperation aimed at studying the issue of Turkmenistan’s accession to the Global Methane Commitment for 2023–2024 and the Action Plan for its implementation were approved.

The active inclusion of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan in the international energy system provides for an increase in the export capabilities of hydrocarbon resources based on modern, environmentally friendly technologies and advanced world experience. In solving this strategic task, a huge role is assigned to the further stage-by-stage development of the giant «Galkynyş» field, one of the features of which is the high content of acidic components (hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide) in the composition of natural gas. Currently, gas processing complexes equipped with modern equipment have been built at the field for the primary processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, gas purification and dehydration, as well as for the production of commercial gas and the processing of hydrogen sulfide into sulfur, granulation and packaging of sulfur.

Today, renewable energy is also effectively developing, primarily wind and solar, and a transition to «green» technologies that do not have a negative impact on the environment is being considered. Having wide access to inexpensive, reliable, modern energy sources is crucial for the progressive development of all countries and the well-being of their people.

Currently, the fuel of the future – hydrogen – is being promoted to solve the problem of climate change. In industrial production, it can provide heat without generating greenhouse gases, since the calorific value of hydrogen is 3 times higher than that of other types of fuel. So, the implementation of the national strategy for the socio-economic development of the country for the coming years and the most important component of the national economic complex - the oil and gas industry will serve to further strengthen the economic power, progress and prosperity of the Fatherland, and improve the well-being of the Turkmen people.
