Turkmen students performed well at the International Science and Invention Fair in Indonesia

The students of the International University for Humanities and Development (IUHD) have participated and achieved victory for the first time at the International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) held on the Indonesian island of Bali.

The IUHD team, consisting of third-year students of Computer Technology major, Ahmet Akyev and Sapardurdy Berdiev, under the guidance of the instructor from the Department of Contemporary Computer Technologies, Musa Yazymov, returned to their homeland with gold medals and the coveted Trophy Cup.

As reported on the IUHD website, the university team presented a scientific project titled "From Scarcity to Sustainability: How Technology Can Help Save Water and Combat Drought and Climate Change" at the prestigious international event.

Having brilliantly demonstrated their knowledge, abilities, and inventiveness, the team from the capital university received high marks from the jury and well-deserved awards.

A total of 800 students from 22 countries participated in the intellectual competition, representing different levels of education and competing in their respective categories. The young participants showcased their projects, developments, and inventions in various fields such as mathematics, physics, energy, engineering, life sciences, technology, environment, social sciences, and education.

The International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) for young students and professional educators is organized annually by the Indonesian Young Scientists Association (IYSA) and the Indonesian International Institute for Life Sciences, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia.  

The competition has a history of ten years, starting in 2013.The geography of event participants expands every year. Among the participating countries are Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, China, India, Tunisia, Egypt, UAE, Turkey, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Belarus, USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and others.

The main goal of ISIF is to expand the knowledge of youth in science, inventions, and innovations, and to develop the abilities of students to apply their scientific knowledge in practice. ISIF serves as a platform for the development and stimulation of activity, creativity and innovative potential of young talents.
