Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan has announced a cybersecurity hackathon among students of higher educational institutions of the country.
Competitions for young IT specialists will be held on November 28 and 29.

The hackathon, titled "Tehniki ýumuş esasynda platformany işläp düzmek", organized in accordance with the "Concept of Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025," aims to identify talented specialists in the field of cybersecurity and increase awareness of threats and protection methods in the network.
Competitions will allow students studying web programming and digital technologies to demonstrate their skills in the field of information security by solving various tasks related to hacking and protecting computer systems and applications.
Turkmenistan adopted the Law on Cybersecurity in 2019in 2019 with the aim of protecting national "cyber sovereignty" and preventing malicious hacker attacks. Currently, there are specialized departments in ministries and agencies of the country responsible for information technology and protection against cyber threats.
In addition, educational institutions are preparing young IT specialists in the field of information security and protection.
