The 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship is in full swing in Ashgabat. On the first day of competition, thousands of Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital visited the Martial Arts Sports Complex.

For guests of the largest world championship, a specialized exhibition-fair of souvenirs with the logos of the World Kurash Championship was organized in the foyer of the Sports Complex. On the counters there are notebooks, badges, mugs, computer mouse pads and much more made «Made in Turkmenistan».

The youngest sports fans are also rushing to see the world championship with their own eyes. Thus, a resident of Ashgabat, mother Gulayym Kolakova, brought her son to sports competitions.

My son really wants to play sports. «I brought him to see how real professionals compete», says Gulayym. – They gave us tickets to the competition. We hope to see a spectacular fight with the participation of our athletes.

The most active fans in the stands are students who support the Turkmenistan national team with folding chants.

In addition, the national flags proudly flying over the stands inspire athletes in the fight for victory. For every Turkmenistan, the sacred flag is a symbol of patriotism and pride in their Fatherland.

Wishing good luck to the athletes, the fans chant: «Forward, forward, only forward, native land of Turkmenistan»!
