As part of the digitalization of statistical activities in Turkmenistan, a Statistical Business Register is being developed.

From the 2nd to 6th of December, in order to monitor the work on developing software for the Statistical Business Register, a visit was made by international expert Sergey Kuzin.

He held a number of meetings with representatives of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics.

The development of the Statistical Business Register will simplify the process of registration of legal entities, access and processing of data, and will also allow the submission of statistical forms online.

A statistical business register is an updated database of economic units in a certain territory. It includes brief administrative and economic information on all public and private sector legal entities included in the register. Records are maintained by the national statistical office.
