State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after Myrat Garryeva held the II International Internet Olympiad in biology among students of higher educational institutions Turkmenistan and abroad.

Based on the results of the Olympiad, 79 winners and prize-winners were named 18 participants won first place, 28 students received second place places and 33 students - third.

Note that 13 out of 18 winners are students State Medical University of Turkmenistan named after M. Garryev and Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly. Of the total number of prize places for students of these and other Turkmen universities also awarded 14 second and 13 third places in the competition.

The Olympiad jury team was formed from professors, teachers, specialized specialists from both Turkmen universities, and foreign higher schools.

In total, about 400 university students took part in the Olympiad Turkmenistan and more than two dozen foreign countries. In their including - USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, Austria, Romania, Cyprus, UAE, India, Iran, Turkey, South Korea, Malaysia, Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan.

The holding of the Olympiad helped stimulate interest students to further study biology, expand knowledge in the subject, as well as strengthening the interaction of higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad in the field of science and education.
