An extensive report on a significant sporting event - the 14th World Kurash Wrestling Championship, held in November this year in Ashgabat, was broadcast on the Big Asia TV channel. A large team led by the channel’s editor-in-chief Alisa Klimantovich, who was personally present at the competition, worked on its creation.
In the story, the correspondent of the Russian media resource talks about the coordinated work of the Ashgabat Olympic village, on the territory of which the World Kurash Championship was held, and about the most striking moments of the sports competitions. In interviews, foreign athletes and representatives of foreign delegations share their impressions of the white marble capital of our country, as well as their visit to the city of Arkadag.
Many athletes who visited Turkmenistan for the first time were pleasantly impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of Ashgabat. The guests also noted the high organizational level of the competition and the warm welcome. To create comfortable conditions, athletes were provided with modern gyms and training grounds, proper nutrition and accommodation in comfortable hotels.
In addition, more than 300 students of Turkmen universities who had undergone preliminary training in volunteer activities were involved in the Championship.
International category judge Kuvvat Nuryyev spoke about the intricacies of national kurash wrestling and the peculiarities of refereeing in an interview with the Big Asia TV channel. Also, coach and international category judge Firuddin Hudayberdiyev, representing the sports school of Turkmenabat, spoke about coaching and training future champions of our country.
Let us remind you that the Turkmenistan national team won medals in each of the 15 weight categories at the World Kurash Wrestling Championships. There are 15 in total, including five gold ones.
