The dynamics of maritime transport based on the results of 11 months of this year indicate that the total volume of cargo transportation by merchant marine vessels increased by 21.6% compared to the corresponding period in 2022 and amounted to 2 million 064 tons. In general, the fleet's cargo transportation plan for the specified period of the year was fulfilled by 129.4%.

Cargo turnover for January-November 2023 amounted to 867.149 million tons, and the cargo turnover plan for January-November 2023 was fulfilled by 228.9%. Also during this period, passenger turnover increased by 56.4%, the plan was fulfilled by 245.9%. The number of containers transported amounted to 3846 TEU, the growth rate was 277.3%.

High rates of growth in transportation of CJSC «Marine Merchant Fleet» of Turkmenistan are due, first of all, to an increase in export transportation of crude oil and petroleum products, as well as general and transit cargo that passes through the Turkmenbashy International Seaport, which plays a growing role in the growth of cargo turnover along the ITC «North South».
