Thanks to the growth of year-round greenhouse farms built and put into operation by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, fresh vegetable products are supplied to the country’s food markets all year round.
Private entrepreneur Serdar Nepesov manages to collect a generous harvest of eggplants and bell peppers every 3-4 days. Three large greenhouses located in the Gyzylgum geneshlik of the Sakarchage etrap produce up to 1 ton of eggplants and up to 250 kilograms of bell peppers within the designated period.
The son of an entrepreneur, who also has his own greenhouse farm, shares his success in cultivating vegetables - tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplants, cucumbers and cabbage. In the spring, he plans to plant melon seeds in the same greenhouses.
A year-round greenhouse business is a promising endeavor for land tenants. By actively cultivating farmland, entrepreneurs are expanding the range of products produced in greenhouses, which helps increase export potential and the development of agriculture in general.
