New Year's mood reigns in all markets of Turkmenistan

New Year fairs organized in Ashgabat, the city of Arkadag and in the velayat of our country give a festive mood to the people of Turkmenistan.

In all retail outlets of the country, brisk trade begins in the morning and continues until late in the evening. The bazaars, shops and shopping centres are crowded today, because there are only a few days left before the New Year. Everyone is in a hurry to buy gifts and food for the New Year's table.

The abundance of food products presented on the shelves is amazing in its diversity. Therefore, buyers make lists of necessary products in advance.

To the question: «What are you planning to cook for the holiday table»? Among the residents of the capital, popular answers were dishes of national cuisine - manti, pilaf, dograma. But the men intend to cook barbecue. And they choose meat products from domestic producers.

The fruit stalls are especially busy with business. There is an assortment of apples, pears, bananas, kiwis, tangerines, oranges, and pomegranates. Strawberries, grapes and exotic treats such as pineapples, coconuts, avacados and pitaya (dragon fruit) are very popular.

There is also a wide demand for oriental sweets - dried fruits and nuts. At New Year's fairs there is a huge selection of walnuts, peanuts, pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, etc.

Sellers have prepared for a large influx of buyers. They politely provide information about products, help you choose products to suit your taste, and after each purchase they congratulate you on the upcoming New Year!
