The International University of Humanities and Development (IUHD) has begun accepting applications for participation in the IV Open Mathematical Olympiad, held by the university among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and abroad.
The capital's university invites all students studying mathematics, interested and passionate about this discipline to participate in the Olympiad. The number of applicants for participation from each university is not limited.
The Olympiad will be held at IUHD from 3rd to 8th of March this year in full-time format. The official languages of the Olympiad are Turkmen and English. The math competition will include individual and team competitions.
The individual tour will divide participants into categories A and B. Category A is intended for students specializing in mathematics and computer science at universities. Category B will unite students from other areas of training. Depending on the category chosen in the application for participation, competitors will be offered 6 problems corresponding to the level of difficulty and 240 minutes (4 hours) to solve them.
Groups of students (no more than 4 people each) will take part in team competitions, regardless of specialty. Teams will be given 10 tasks, which they will have to complete in 120 minutes (2 hours).
Registration for those wishing to take part in the Olympiad is open on the official website of the organizing university in the Academy/Competitions section, where a detailed schedule and rules of the Olympiad, samples of the necessary documents for participation in the competition and other useful information are also posted information.

Let us add that the International University of Humanities and Development has been successfully and fruitfully practicing the Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students (OMOUS) for the fourth year in a row. Holding an international student competition in mathematics allows us to assess the level of preparation of students in the subject, identify the most capable and talented participants, and also stimulate the interest of young people in studying the exact sciences and conducting scientific research in this direction.
During the Olympiad, interaction in the field of science and education between universities of Turkmenistan and abroad has significantly expanded, new useful contacts have been established that contribute to the development of cooperation and the achievement of its positive results.
