Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan intend to optimize the fees and charges levied on carriers in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan in the process of international cargo transportation. This was reported on the website of the «Turkmenavtoulaglary» agency.

This issue was discussed during the last meeting of the Turkmen-Uzbek expert working group on the issues of fees and charges levied for international road transport by carriers of the two countries.

The parties also considered the possibility of accelerating the signing of a draft intergovernmental agreement to simplify procedures for obtaining visas for participants in international cargo transportation through the territory of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The Turkmen side expressed interest in studying the experience of Uzbekistan in transitioning to the «E-permit» system, which provides for the electronic exchange of permit forms in real time.
