The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted the fifth game of the qualifying round of the III season of the "Young Messengers of Peace" project, organized by the university and the School of Young Diplomats among high school students of Turkmenistan.
Traditionally, the intellectual competition was played by eight players - pupils of 10-11 grades of schools in Ashgabat and velayats of the country. The next game of the project was devoted to the theme "International relations and foreign policy of the Qajar state in the 18th - first quarter of the 19th centuries".
The participants actively demonstrated their deep knowledge of the topic, their preparation, erudition and broad outlook. Each of the young intellectuals sought to prove their superiority in the competitive struggle.
According to the project rules, two players were announced as winners and recieved the right to participate in the semi-finals of the competition. They are Seyitmukhammet Gurbangeldiyev, an 11th grade student of secondary specialized school № 43 in Sakarchage etrap of Mary velayat, and Gulayim Bakyeva, an 11th grade student of school № 35 in Kerki etrap of Lebap velayat.
The jury panel was represented by Begench Karaev, senior lecturer of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy of the IIR of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences; Chary Kuliev, head of the Turkmen Literature and Literary Relations Department of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Philological Sciences; as well as Toily Hommyev, lecturer of History Faculty of Magtymguly Turkmen State University.
The winners and all participants of the game were awarded honorary certificates from the institute and valuable gifts from the event sponsors - the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan, the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as OJSC "Abadan haly", ES"Aýdyň gijeler", IE "Ýedi dogan", ES "Muhammet Balkan", IE "Düwmejik", and IE "Ak Menzili".
The filming and recording of the game were carried out by employees of the national TV channel "Miras" and representatives of the educational studio of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country. The contest will be broadcasted for Turkmen TV viewers in the coming days.
As a reminder to readers, "Young Messengers of Peace" is a large-scale project of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, which has been held for the third consecutive academic year and is aimed at career guidance for schoolchildren. It involves pupils of 9-11 grades of schools in Turkmenistan and members of the university's School of Young Diplomats, who have a special interest in the art of diplomacy and plan to pursue a diplomatic career. The "Young Messengers of Peace" project assists these schoolchildren in realizing their dreams, ideas and plans. The most talented participants and winners of the project successfully continue the path to their dreams, already being students of the Higher School of Diplomacy of Turkmenistan.
