Football referees from Turkmenistan improved their skills at the CAFA seminar in Uzbekistan

Three FIFA referees from Turkmenistan improved their skills by taking part in the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA) refereeing seminar in Tashkent.

According to the CAFA press service, during the seminar, referees from Afghanistan, Iran, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan became familiar with the changes made by FIFA to football competitions for 2024. In addition, the forum allowed Turkmen referees to exchange experiences with colleagues from other countries and receive valuable recommendations for further servicing international matches.

Turkmenistan was represented at the seminar by FIFA football referees: Resul Mammedov, Arslan Goshshanov and Charymyrat Gurbanov.

The Central Asian Football Association is a division of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). It was founded on the 10th of June, 2014, and officially began operating on the 9th of January, 2015. Currently, CAFA unites the football federations of Afghanistan, Iran, the Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
