The livestock industry in Balkan velayat is developing rapidly. The majority of the livestock belongs to the private sector, indicating a high level of prosperity among the population.
Effective measures are being taken to ensure proper wintering and growth of the animal population in flocks owned by the state. This can be seen in the work carried out in the livestock farms of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The organization of the "Gyzylarbat" livestock farm in Gyzylarbat etrap is at a high level. In preparation for the winter, 2,500 tons of feed were stockpiled for the livestock. Local specialists regularly visit the herds and are curious about the state of affairs of shepherds. Livestock breeders of the etrap are well-prepared for the upcoming spring campaign. Hemra Seyitjanov, head of the "Gyzylarbat" livestock farm, told us about this:
"Ensuring an abundance of meat and dairy products in the markets and retail outlets is the main task for livestock breeders. To successfully achieve this goal, we have set high targets for this year as well. We have prepared feed in advance for the winter period, which guarantees the well-being and good condition of the animals during the cold season. In addition, another crucial period is approaching - the spring lambing season. This year, we plan to obtain 16,615 lambs and 538 camel calves from a total of 18,573 sheep and 1,195 camels."
