A recent publication by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) highlighted the activities of the Turkmen company «Täç hil» as a successful example of the commitment of Central Asian entrepreneurship to sustainable development. According to the bank's expert, local entrepreneurs have become true champions of the transition to more environmentally friendly activities and are driving change not only in their businesses, but also in their communities.
It was also reported, in particular, that since 2018 the EBRD has been providing long-term support to «Täç hil», a leading manufacturer of personal care and cleaning products in Turkmenistan.
«Täç hil» rapid development since its founding has allowed the company to focus on both quality and scale of production, expanding its product line in response to growing market demand. The diversified products are manufactured using advanced technology and high quality local and foreign raw materials to ensure that the products comply with the country's trade standards and five ISO certifications.
To maintain its success, «Täç hil» continues to look ahead and recently engaged an EBRD advisory team, which appointed ESG consultants to assist with ISO 9001 compliance and the implementation of a quality management system. Training and mentoring from the EBRD's experienced ESG consultants continue to help «Täç hil» grow while achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The company is currently planning to purchase a 12-kWh rooftop solar system and a 5-kWh battery system to benefit from renewable energy sources. The installation of this green system demonstrates «Täç hil» commitment to protecting the environment and helps mitigate potential risks in future electricity supplies.
Defining the company's goals, its director Tachmyrat Gurdov states: «We plan to become the leading manufacturer of household and laundry, beauty and personal care products in Turkmenistan. With the support of the EBRD, we will be able to expand our export markets by offering competitive products».
