Specialists of the «Turkmendenizderyayollary» agency went on a working visit to the seaport of the Spanish city of Valencia.

The visit was organized within the framework of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe project «Applying the principles of green ports and sustainability in the Caspian Sea region».

Representatives of the Agency got acquainted with the activities of the port of Valencia to reduce CO2 emissions and the projects being implemented in the sea harbour to transition to green energy.

Thus, in the port of Valencia, tractors with trailers and reach stackers (loaders for working with containers) with a hydrogen engine are used.

As part of the project «Application of the principles of green ports and sustainability in the Caspian Sea region», specialists of the «Turkmendenizderyayollary» Agency have already visited a number of seaports in European countries and familiarized themselves with best practices in the field of digitalization of port operations and the application of principles of sustainable development.
