The first interdepartmental meeting this year on issues of export-import procedures was held at the Ahal velayat customs office. This is reported by the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

It was attended by participants in foreign economic activity of Turkmenistan - representatives of the State Quarantine Service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan, the State Association of Livestock and Poultry Industry, the Main State Service «Turkmenstandartlary» of the State Reference Centre, the Agencies «Turkmendemiryollary» and «Turkmenavtoulaglary», JSC «Transport and Logistics Centre of Turkmenistan», employees of a number of transport and logistics companies in the country, as well as private entrepreneurs.

The participants discussed innovations in the field of customs legislation of Turkmenistan, topical issues related to the implementation of foreign economic activity.

In particular, the procedure for registering the export and import of goods was explained, and information was provided on benefits for private entrepreneurs. The agenda of the meeting also included the issue of transition to a digital system as part of the implementation of the «Single Window for Export-Import Operations» project.

The meeting participants who spoke noted the important role of such meetings in achieving the goals outlined in the State programs for the production of import-substituting products and increasing the volume of exports of domestic goods.
