These days, the Balkan province is actively working on planting cotton in fields along the Karakum River. These important works aimed at laying the foundation for the next harvest are carried out in accordance with modern agrotechnical requirements.

Last year, Balkan cotton growers were the first in the country to successfully fulfill their contractual obligations for cotton production. This year they are determined to achieve good results again. Currently, the farming associations of the Gyzylarbat, Bereket and Makhtumkuli stages, together with the machine operators of the Balkanobakhyzmat production association, are carrying out work on preparing the land for spring sowing. At the moment, 140 John Deere, CLAAS and CASE tractors are involved in these works, as well as 125 cleaning tractors.

The tenants of the velayat plan to sow 13 thousand hectares of land with cotton this year. By the way, during the cotton planting period, it is planned to control 30 planting machines through a digital telematics system. A maintenance team consisting of technicians, adjusters and welders will also be created, which will ensure the efficient operation of the equipment. Special attention is paid to the quality of the seeds. Today, the seeds are thoroughly cleaned and fully ready for planting. 

The current pace of work in the fields of the Balkan Velayat clearly indicates that cotton growers and farmers of the Velayat will make every effort to achieve their goals.
