At the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly the Week of the Department of Journalism, called “Great achievements are an inspiration for young journalists.”

The Week's program was dedicated to history and modernity national journalism, achievements and significant events in this area, as well as the success of students, studying journalism and choosing this wonderful and an extremely interesting profession.

Substantive speeches by future journalists, students studying at the university, were heard at the opening ceremony of the Week. They were told about the wide opportunities provided youth of the country to choose a profession, study, professional development and growth. During the Week for Students, professors and teachers of the Department of Journalism held open general lectures on the topics “Magtymguly Fragi – the light of the spiritual world Turkmen people" and "Coverage of the wise policy of Arkadagly Serdar on the pages of periodicals."

As part of the Week, an essay competition was held on the topic educational significance of Magtymguly Fragi’s creativity, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet and philosopher of the East. For the anniversary of the brilliant classical poet there were other events are also scheduled. Yes, it was successful consultative session “Appeal to the creativity of Magtymguly when writing coursework." Theater production competition scenes based on the legends of Magtymguly and artistic readings the poet's works allowed him to reveal his talents and creative students' abilities.

Particularly memorable, very useful and significant for expanding the professional horizons of students began meetings with the luminaries of Turkmen journalism.

At the closing ceremony of the Week of the Department of Journalism at the university active participants of the event - professors, teachers and the students were presented with memorable gifts.
