In Turkmenistan, cotton sowing will begin in four out of five regions of the country on March 20. This decision was made by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during the government meeting via video conference.

Addressing the participants of the meeting, the head of state noted that the sowing season is approaching and the Turkmen cotton growers face an important task.

Giving his blessing to start cotton sowing on March 20 in Ahal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats, and on March 27 in Dashoguz velayat, the President of Turkmenistan addressed a request to the respected elders of the nation to begin this responsible agricultural campaign with the words "Bissimilla!" in accordance with the established good tradition.

In this regard, the head of state wished courageous cotton growers and all agricultural workers great success in their work.
