An exhibition of carpets by Ada Gutlyyev dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan has been launched in the gallery of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan.

At the grand opening of the exhibition, teachers and students of the academy, friends and acquaintances of the artist, as well as numerous fans of his extraordinary talent gathered to congratulate the hero of the day. 

The folk artist's collection of carpets includes emperors and sheikhs, as well as magnificent landscapes of highlands, cotton and grain fields, still lifes of nature's gifts, historical artifacts, but most of all horses. 

One of the author’s favourite carpets is «Rovach». The foal's name means «Success» in Turkmen. On the foal's neck is an alaja for good luck, which, as is known, consists of multi-colored threads. And in the left corner is the text of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s poem «Rovach», and every two lines of the poem are colored in the same order as the threads of multi-coloured alaja.

Ada Ashirgeldyevich is an inexhaustible inventor. To understand this, just look at the carpets «Altyn bygdaý», «Hasyl», «Suw damjasy – altyn dänesi» and «Bedew 3D». And the artist’s fantasies always find a patriotic response in his works.

For his 60th birthday, the hero of the day exhibited 40 carpets, 7 of which were works by his students. The mentor is proud of their results. Among the exhibited carpets by the students of the hero of the day is the work of his son Ashyrgeldy Gutlyyev «Mountains are the nails of the earth». This is a line from a poem by Magtymguly Fragi. 

The creativity of Ada Gutlyyev is appreciated by the government of our country. He was awarded the «Galkynyş» order and three medals, and was a laureate of the «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» Presidential competition three times.

On the National Day of the Horse, we again expect another masterpiece from Ada Gutlyyev and wish him victory in the competition in honour of this holiday.
