For two years, past from the date of presidential elections of Turkmenistan when our compatriots entrusted their destiny and future of our country to head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov, grandiose achievements have been made. The national economy develops stably. Turkmenistan turns into an industrial state with its powerful industrial sector, which produces high quality, competitive products in the world market. The level and quality of life of people steadily raise. The creative foreign policy promotes the deepening of the meaningful dialogue with all interested countries.

Events of the past week attested to acknowledgement of efficiency of the complex and scientifically well-founded transformation strategy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

On March 11, the President of Turkmenistan held an online working meeting, which considered the course of seasonal field work.

The head of the state focused attention on appropriate organisation of forthcoming agricultural campaigns and instructed related authorities to keep observance of agro-technical standards for care of wheat, preparation of fields to be sown with cotton and supply of farmers with high-quality seeds under proper control. 

A number of instructions were given in relation to the sowing campaign of vegetables and gourds according to the established requirements and terms.

Besides it, the head of Turkmenistan noted necessity to carry out control over construction of various projects within the realisation of the national rural program.

On March 13, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to Lebap velayat where he took part in the opening ceremony of the second phase of the cement factory with annual capacity of 1 million tons of cement in Koytendag etrap. 

The complex including 38 buildings and objects is designed to manufacture high-quality production, including sulphate resistant cement. It was constructed in the region, which possesses large supplies of principal raw materials, necessary for manufacture and takes place in immediate proximity from places of their extraction that will allow to provide trouble-free work of the enterprise and to lower the cost price of the production.

Its construction was carried out to the order of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production by economic society «Türkmen enjam», a member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The established equipment and engineering work executed by the company «Thyssenkrupp Polysius GmbH», completely answer to industrial standards of Germany - DIN, standards of cement industry, standards of IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and standards of ISO confirmed by the corresponding certificate.

The main criteria of realisation of the given project was to ensure all-around automation of all production and creation of comfortable conditions for high-efficiency of work.

The special attention was given to ecological compatibility of manufacture and observance of necessary standards.

On March 14, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Mark Bowman.

During the exchange of opinions on priority aspects of interaction, it was pointed out that along with reached positive results new perspective areas of partnership, one of which is energy sector, open.

The head of the state confirmed readiness of Turkmenistan to reconsider specific proposals of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on participation in projects of transport-transit corridors.

Issues of cooperation in the field of agriculture, introduction of water saving up technologies, expansion of contacts in the area of lending to small and medium-sized businesses and providing consulting services in this area were also discussed.

On March 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which considered a number of priority issues of state life.

Among them - further perfection of national legal basis, possibility of payment system «Remote banking», offered for physical persons by the State Commercial Bank of Turkmenistan «Daýhanbank», modernisation of material and technical basis of the international airport of Ashgabat, state of affairs in the agrarian and industrial complex.

The plan of actions on development of volumes of extraction of "blue fuel» was delivered and work carried out to obtain industrial inflows of nonsulfurous gas was informed.

The information on the planned economic society «Üznüksiz çeşme», specialized in release of equipment for accumulation and electric power storage (UPS) sounded.

For consideration of the head of the state, the project of the work program of the Turkmen-Japanese business forum with participation of representatives of small and medium businesses planned for March 27 of the current year in Tokyo (Japan) was submitted.

Besides it, preparation for the media forum «Turkmen land -centre of ancient civilisations» which will pass in Ashgabat on March 28 within the celebrations on the occasion of announcement of the city of Anau as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 and 300th birthday anniversaries of Magtymguly Fragi as well as international Olympic Games and scientific practical conferences in higher educational institutions of the country planned for the spring of this year were informed.

Results of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Austria, made on March 10-13 of the current year with a view of discussion of priority areas of further development of traditionally friendly interstate relations became a separate topic of the meeting.

By results of the negotiations held in Vienna with the Federal Minister of European and Foreign Affairs of Austria, the cooperation program between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria for 2024-2025 was signed.

Along with it, meetings of members of the delegation of Turkmenistan with their Austrian colleagues in which course issues of bilateral partnership in trade and economic, banking and financial, energy, transport-communication, industrial, building spheres were considered, introduction of "green" technologies, insurance activity, education, public health services and others were discussed. Presence of possibilities for activization of direct contacts between business circles of two countries, realisations of new joint projects was also marked.

With a view of further development of fruitful interaction for consideration of the head of the state were submitted proposals, concerning creations of the Turkmen-Austrian business council, opening the Austrian house in Turkmenistan in 2025, organization of the 12th  meeting of the Turkmen-Austrian working commission in Vienna in June of the current year, organisation of visit of representatives of business circles of Austria to our country in December of this year, preparation of the corresponding document, which define concrete areas of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

At the meeting, the head of the state blessed start of cotton sowing in Akhal, Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayats on March 20 and in Dashoguz velayat on March 27.

Besides it, the past week President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree “ On the military discharge from the Armed Forces, other troops and military bodies of Turkmenistan of military personnel undergoing military service on conscription, and the next call-up of citizens of Turkmenistan for military service”  and Order on fulfilment of the given Decree.

On March 16 on the threshold of the national holiday of spring, head of the state Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave a start to the next stage of realisation of large-scale tree planting programs, having planted the first young tree in the cultural-park complex of Magtymguly Fragi.

This very day with participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedova on the site between the Monument to Constitution and the Palace «Maslahatlar köşgi» a new park zone was laid in Ashgabat.

The President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag together planted there seven saplings as a good luck and prosperity symbol.

Thousands of green trees planted that day all over the country and man-made woods even more decorated the fertile Turkmen land, promoting further expansion of park and wood zones, enrichment of Turkmen flora and formation of favourable climate.

Among significant events of the past week - the meeting, which took place on March 11 in Ashgabat within the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states under chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

In speeches, the role of OTS in solution of important issues of modernity within the space of the Organization as well as presence of huge potential for expansion of productive interaction in such spheres as policy, economy, transport, tourism, youth policy, sports, and information-communication technologies was marked.

It was especially underlined that declaration of TURKSOY 2024 as «Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world - Magtymguly Fragi» and announcement of the city of Anau cultural as capital of the Turkic world in 2024 serve as a vivid example of indestructibility of bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Turkmenistan and the countries-participants of the Organization.

At the meeting, the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan suggested to institute the title «Honourable Elder» of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states and a corresponding badge, considering merits of the senior generation in strengthening bonds of friendship and brotherhood, unity and coherence in education and upbringing of hardworking youth.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people also underlined that with a view of extended coverage of activity of the Council of Elders of the OTS in the world one should consider creation of editorial office, in particular, edition of a newspaper or magazine, development of a corresponding Internet site in the long term.

That very day, Hero-Arkadag held a meeting with the mufti of Turkmenistan, imams of the city of Ashgabat and Akhal velayat.

For heads of delegations and visitors of the next meeting of the Council of Elders of OTS sadaka «agzaçar» was given and its organization in sacred month of Oraza is one of the primordial traditions inherited from wise ancestors.

On the threshold of the next meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave an extensive interview to the information TV channel TRT Haber.

A big interested conversation on cooperation prospects between Turkic states and the role of OTS in the modern system of international relations in the context of its activity and objectives of the Council of Elders took place.

Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov shared his vision of the issues concerning maintenance of peace, security and stability, strengthening of cultural-humanitarian cooperation.

Hero-Arkadag characterised the modern stage in life of Turkmenistan from the point of view of internal development and foreign policy, having noted intention of our country to increase and expand mutual relation with Turkic states for radical interests, well-being, peace and sustainable development of people.

On March 12 in Ashgabat under chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan, councillor of Elders of OTS Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states took place.

According to the agenda, by further teamwork, coordination of actions of the countries-participants of the Organization as well as important issues connected with activity of the Council of Elders and OTS were discussed with realisation of the recommendations accepted at the meeting that took place in the past year in Samarkand.

Hero-Arkadag in his speech stated opinions and proposals of Turkmenistan as the country hosting the 15th meeting of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states.

Among perspective, consecutive and long-term directions of interaction, the National Leader of the Turkmen people mentioned creation of effective, reliable, self-sufficient model of partnership in energy sphere as well as formation of uniform transport strategy.

Having focused attention to positions of Turkmenistan on restoration of the Great Silk road, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed necessity of creation of new structure of cooperation on the Eurasian space. Having defined its basic areas in policy, economy, trade, culture and world outlook, it is necessary to give to the given work a steady and consecutive character.

the National Leader of the Turkmen people designated education of the worthy younger generation as one of the main functions of work of the Council.

Following the results of the meeting, the corresponding Communique was adopted.

That very day, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic states Binali Yildirim. Within the meeting of the Council, issues of forthcoming work of the Organization were discussed and results of the past meeting were summed up.

Among other events of the past week – acceptance of credentials from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Panama to Turkmenistan Rolando Enrique Barrow Noada that took place in the Mejlis. 

The diplomat was in detail informed on the basic directions of foreign and home policy of Turkmenistan as well as acquainted with structure and multilateral activity of the Mejlis.

In the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the exhibition and conference on the occasion of the 16th anniversary of formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country took place.

Achievements of he private sector at the exhibition were displayed by more than 230 private companies, individual enterprises and manufacturers, engaged in such areas of economy as bank sphere, building industry, electronic industry, transport and logistical services, chemical manufacture, manufacture of home appliances and consumer goods, food and process industry, trade, agrarian business as well as education, sports industry, printing and design activity, national crafts and others.

Many exhibits corresponding to such marks as «new product», «import replacing production» or «innovative technology», were presented practically in all sectoral branches.

The basic themes of the agenda of the conference – exploration of possibilities of introduction of the latest technologies and advanced know-how in private manufactures, increases of competitiveness of goods and services of individual manufacturers, attraction of attention of consumers to domestic production and complex analysis of evolution of local businesses. The work carried out for the past year and reached successes were also discussed.

Let us also note that production of home producers, which is none second to foreign analogues in their quality and cost and ecological compatibility, is widely presented in shops of new capital shopping centre "Arkaç" with the business centre, put into operation on the past Sunday. Along with numerous shops at the disposal of visitors a platform for games, cinema halls, children's entertaining centners with slot machines, a beauty salon, a fitness studio, a drugstore, restaurants and cafe, «Toý mekany» and other objects.

Thus, events of the last week visually show a high dynamics of development of Turkmenistan, based on the constructive internal and foreign policy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov entirely focused on social and economic progress, confident advancement of our fatherland towards new achievements and increase of well-being of people.
