On March 20, 2024, in the Ministry of Culture of Romania, a meeting between Ambassador A.Annaev and the Minister of Culture of Romania Raluca Turcan took place. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss issues related to holding joint events in the field of culture in the future.

At the beginning of the meeting, the parties noted the importance of the current bilateral Agreement on cooperation in the field of culture.

In this regard, the Minister of Culture noted the interest in bilateral cooperation in the field of culture and cultural exchange, including participation in mutual events, establishing partnerships with Turkmen museums, as well as organizing visits of music, dance and theater groups of the two countries.

In order to further deepen intercultural ties between Turkmenistan and Romania, the Turkmen side proposed to hold Romanian Culture Days in Turkmenistan in 2025 and explore the possibility of erecting a statue of the Turkmen poet-philosopher Magtymguly Fragi in Romania.
