In the message to President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, the OIE head expressed her appreciation for the successful cooperation between the World Organization for Animal Health and Turkmenistan.
As was reaffirmed, under the Agreement of May 22, 2016 between the Government of Turkmenistan and the World Organization for Animal Health, a horse diseases free zone was created for the purpose of holding the 5th Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games in Turkmenistan in 2017, which was declared on March 15, 2017.
The World Organization for Animal Health appreciates the tremendous success that Turkmenistan has achieved in controlling horse diseases, in particular, the steps which are undertaken by the veterinary services of Your country, with which our Organization has further strengthened cooperation since 2013, the letter says.
Joint work is carried out to collect the information necessary for the publication of the material on creating the above-mentioned zone on the web page of our Organization, Dr. Monique Elois informed, having expressed confidence in further development of cooperation, and wishing success in holding the 5th Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games.
