The bright celebrations, which were held with triumph in the past week on the occasion of announcement of Anau city as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 became an embodiment of invariable adherence of Turkmen to their spiritual roots and unique national heritage, unity of people round President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for achievement of high purposes in the year «Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi».
On March 25, the head of the state held an online working meeting to consider issues of development of the agro-industrial complex.
The main emphasis was made on priority areas of seasonal agricultural campaigns, in particular, sowing of cotton and proper care of wheat, preparation for the season of production of silkworm cocoons as well as fulfilment of the tasks outlined in programs of social and economic development of the country.
On March 27, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri.
The exchange of opinions on prospects of multiplane cooperation between Turkmenistan and ECO took place. They marked presence of great possibilities for promotion of mutually beneficial partnership in trade and economic and cultural-humanitarian, ecological and tourism spheres.
Among priority areas, they pointed out cooperation in the energy, transport and logistics sectors.
On that very day, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
The head of the state and his guest stated a dynamical character of the traditional dialogue with the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY), aimed at preservation, study and popularisation of the richest cultural heritage of the Turkic people in the world - an integral part of universal treasury.
Celebration of the 300th birthday anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, whose works are a property of the entire Turkic world, was one of themes for discussion.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also received Secretary General of the World Tourism Organisation of the United Nations Zurab Pololikashvili.
As the head of the state noted, Turkmenistan since 1993 is a member of UNWTO, for more than 30 years of partnership a rich experience of cooperation has been obtained.

On March 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Having noted that Iran traditionally is one of the major partners of our country, the head of the state underlined the role of the Joint Turkmen-Iranian group for economic cooperation, the activity of which is aimed at coordination of concrete measures on expansion of relations in electric power and transport spheres.
A special emphasis was made on importance of exploration of new forms and methods of interactions in the fuel and energy complex in conformity with modern requirements, intensification of relations in the sphere of export and transit of energy carriers.
Prospects of further development of Turkmen-Iranian interstate cooperation in political, trade-economic, cultural-humanitarian spheres were also discussed in the course of the meeting, which took place on that very day with National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian.
On March 29, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, the agenda of which included a number of issues of state policy.
Among them - perfection of national legal basis, preparation for the next session of the Mejlis, increase of productivity of management of state property, creation of favourable business environment, modernisation of infrastructure of the fuel and energy sector.
Measures on transformation of the town-planning shape of the capital and improvement of living conditions of the population of the country, the course of the seasonal agricultural campaigns, ongoing tree planting, work on rational and reasonable use of water resources were also informed.
For consideration of the President of Turkmenistan, a number of proposals were submitted and having considered them, the head of the state gave the concrete instructions on their realisation.
In particular, it was the issue of privatisation of state share in the authorized capital of closed joint-stock company «Sanly ykdysadyýet innowasion merkezi»; on construction of twenty 9-storeyed modern apartment houses designed for 864 families in the residential area «Parahat-7» of Ashgabat city, comprehensive secondary school for 720 children, a park and highways; on expediency of the opening of an training centre by the Association of Automobile Schools and Public Association «Association of International Road Carriers of Turkmenistan», which will be accredited by the International Road Transport Union (IRU).
The information on basic events planned for April of the current year on the occasion of holidays and significant dates, opening of social projects was also delivered.
The topic of separate theme of the meeting was the activity carried out to strengthen cooperation of Turkmenistan with the United Nations in the area of sustainable development in the framework of which it is proposed to hold a ministerial meeting of Groups of Friends of Sustainable Transport created under the initiative of Turkmenistan on April 16, this year in the building of the United Nations.
Along with it, the proposal on participation of the delegation of our country in the work of the Forum of ЭКОСОС on subsequent steps in the area of financing of development. In its framework, it is proposed to organise a parallel action «Dialogue of ministers for financing goals of sustainable development», devoted to issues of transport and energy connectivity on April 23 of the current year.
For practical realisation of initiatives of the head of the state, which concerns the sphere of energy and found a broad support with the United Nations, it is proposed to hold in May-June of this year in the headquarters of the United Nations the international video meeting of experts in this area.
As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out, the United Nations Organization is one of the international structures, with which Turkmenistan carries out close interaction.
At the 63rd plenary meeting of the 78th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations the historical resolution initiated by Turkmenistan was unanimously adopted and according to which 2025 was declared as international year of peace and trust.
In this connection, the President of the country emphasised necessity of creation of the State commission from members of the Government for maintenance of appropriate organisation of forthcoming celebrations of state significance on the occasion of this international action.
At the meeting, the head of the state signed the Decree on pardoning of 356 citizens of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the upcoming sacred Night of Omnipotence.

At the proposal of Haji Arkadag, as a sign of respect for ancestors and past heritage as well as those who have left a bright trace in the history, the cultural project constructed on the sacred land was named «The mosque of Seyit Jemaletdin».
This significant event, which coincided with the scared month of Oraza added the cultural events which took place the day before on the occasion of declaration of Anau city as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, becoming a visual evidence of continuity of exemplary primordial traditions and humane principles of our people.
In the ceremony, which passed in the building «Türkmeniň аk öýi», located in the valley «Nowruz ýaýlasy» of Ak bugday etrap, members of the Government, heads and representatives of the Khalk Maslakhaty and Mejlis, ministries and sectoral departments, public organisations, mass media as well as diplomatic corps accredited to Turkmenistan took part.
Heads of the International Organisations of Turkic Culture, Organization of Turkic States, Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States, Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, International Turkic Academy, profile ministries of member countries and observers of TURKSOY, creative and scientific delegations became guests of honour of the celebration.
In the improvised ancient settlement, which represented all regions of the country, colourful folk festivities were organized. Guests could familiarise with the life and traditional crafts of Turkmen, wonderful wedding ceremonies, taste dishes of national cuisines as well as admire the skill and dexterity of athletes, kingly posture and amazing speed of Akhal-Teke horses, a pride gait of caravans of camels, which were irreplaceable means of transportation on winding routes of the Great Silk road.
On the platform before the building «Türkmeniň аk öýi» an extensive exhibition of works of fine, decorative and applied arts of the Turkic people, multiplane photo materials was developed.
The key idea of the big festive concert with participation of masters of art of Turkmenistan and a number of Turkic speaking countries was the Dialogue of cultures, friendship of people, their creative unity.
Guests made excursions to one of the famous monuments in the territory of Akhal velayat – mosque of Seyit Jemaletdin, constructed in the XV century, the modern city of Arkadag, sights of the Turkmen capital and Akhal velayat.
A special significance among solemn actions has the international scientific conference «Ancient Anau culture».
Participants of the large-scale forum organised by the Institute of History and Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, became famous historians, archaeologists, ethnographers, orientalists, eminent professors and young scientists as well as representatives of museums of a number of foreign states.
Within the plenary meeting the gathered with great interest heard memoirs of Liza Pumpelly - great-granddaughters of the well-known Raphael Pumpelly thanks to whom the Anau culture has found world popularity and has entered for ever into scientific terminology.
The message stood through all speeches that the Turkmen land, which has yielded rich harvests, is one of the most ancient cradles of world agriculture.
One more conference took place in the national museum «Ak bugdaý» with participation of heads of state and national museums of member countries of TURKSOY.
As was marked at the forum, thanks to favourable geographical position, the territory of modern Turkmenistan from time immemorial has been a place of crossing of trading routes and cultural traditions of the West and the East, an important link of the Great Silk road as well as the land, that gave birth to the world great scientists, philosophers and poets.
In the new historical epoch, our country displays again a special role, performing a responsible mission - to promote mutual understanding and trust between the people by means of consolidation of traditional cultural contact.
In Ashgabat the international conference «The basic areas and potential of development of tourism in Turkmenistan» with participation of representatives of international organisations, heads and experts of leading Turkmen and foreign companies specialising in the profile area, also took place.
Speakers underlined necessity of advancement of tourist possibilities of Turkmenistan taking into account conditions for development of this sphere created in our country as well as practical realisations of the joint program «One tour – the whole region».
Within the forum, at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, the scientific-practical conference, in which foreign participants shared their experience in the tourism sphere with teachers and students, was held.
In the capital hotel "Ýyldyz" the past week the international media forum «The Turkmen land - the centre of ancient civilisations» where tendencies of development world information space, new ways and interaction methods of journalism with audience, the role of mass media in processes of international integration were discussed, was held.
At the next session of the Mejlis, drafts of some Laws of Turkmenistan as well as amendments and additions to some acts were considered and adopted.
The city of Arkadag became a venue of some significant actions. their presentation of the book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov «Anau - culture from the depths of millennia», the conference on the occasion of day of creation of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care as well as with support of the given Foundation - the international math Olympiad among schoolchildren were held.
