The exhibition of the shopping complex of Turkmenistan, taking place in Ashgabat, leaves a pleasant impression on its visitors - both specialists discussing business issues with colleagues, and ordinary people who came to get acquainted with the new goods and services that retail chains and entrepreneurs offer today.
At the Roza Gül stand, decorated with bright fresh flowers, visitors were given a good mood along with a beautiful rose. At the stand of the Mary branch of the individual enterprise «Gerçek ýigit» with a wide range of cotton yarn, cotton fabrics, terry products, various types of bedspreads, the entrepreneur had a business conversation with potential partners who were interested in production issues.
Perhaps some visitors to the exhibition saw a banana tree here for the first time, and the Tejen entrepreneur eagerly talked about how he established the cultivation of exotic fruits in Turkmenistan, and what types of nuts he grows on his plot. Interest in new, import-substituting consumer market products was shown by visitors who were interested in where they could buy rapeseed and soybean oil, which, along with the usual sunflower oil, was presented at one of the exhibition stands.
The attention of many visitors is attracted by the colorfully decorated stand of catering enterprises and restaurants belonging to the Ministry of Trade of Turkmenistan. As the chief technologist of the catering enterprise, Jemile Muhammednazarova, said, the stand presented confectionery products and a variety of food products that they can offer to the population. In their work, catering workers pay special attention to product quality and are aimed at studying the best world experience in providing such services and its implementation in our country.
In the colourful series of exhibitions of folk craftsmen presenting various products of decorative and applied arts in national traditions, attention is drawn to the products of Dashoguz entrepreneur Gayrat Matkarimov, who is reviving the ancient craft of making paper from mulberry wood. The entrepreneur enthusiastically said that this craft is an important part of our cultural heritage, that the immortal poems of Magtymguly and scientific treatises of scientists from the Mamun Academy are written on handmade paper.
Matkarimov has been producing paper of various thicknesses based on ancient technologies for about 10 years. Being a professional artist, he himself draws pictures and miniatures on it and makes souvenirs, including postcards dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly. He considers his work made from paper to be exclusive, having a convex shape and made using long-forgotten ancient technology.
Manual papermaking is a very labour-intensive job, consisting of ten steps and requiring a lot of time and patience. But, according to the entrepreneur, such paper is durable and can be stored for up to five hundred years. G. Matkarimov believes that the Turkmen people have many interesting ancient technologies that need to be studied, revived and popularized in the world.
