Soon, concerts by American female performers in the genre of "a cappella" will take place in Ashgabat and the city of Dashoguz.
Before delighting the Turkmen audience with their performances, vocalists Adriana Latonio, Molly Deini and Lisa Hawkins visited the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov to get acquainted with young talents and exchange professional experience.
The creative meeting in the format of a master class was productive for both the foreign artists and the students of the educational institution. The experienced performers demonstrated to the students their confident vocal skills and introduced them to various techniques of voice warm-up.
The concert performances of the vocal group Pipeline Vocal Project (also known as Queens of Alaska) will include joint numbers with students of the Dashoguz Special School of Arts named after Magtymguly Garlyyev and the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov. In addition to the main musical program, well-known melodies based on the poems of the classic of Turkmen literature Magtymguly Fragi will be performed on stage.
The choir leader Mayagozel Amangeldiyeva says: "This year our country is widely celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi. Our composition school preserves many musical compositions based on the verses of the genius of Turkmen poetry. For the presentation at the joint concert, we decided to learn with foreign artists two famous works by Veli Akhmedov - 'Gözüm düşdi' and 'Türkmeniň'".
While rehearsing the vocal parts in the Turkmen language, the foreign artists showed high interest and excellent linguistic abilities. And the joint practice gave all the participants of the upcoming performances a lot of vivid emotions.
The concert of American performers together with the Dashoguz Special School of Arts named after Magtymguly Garlyyev will take place on April 12 (at 19:00) at the State Music and Drama Theater named after N. Andalib.
The joint performance of the foreign artists with the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov can be heard on April 14 (at 19:00) at the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. Admission to all concerts is free.
