This year, the "Sekiz bag" Daikhan Association has started planting safflower for the first time. This product, which is an alternative to olive oil, has been planted by the company's specialists on five hectares of land in Tejen etrap.
The employees chose safflower for a reason. This plant is adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan. Safflower prefers high temperatures and grows best at temperatures between 2 - 35 degrees Celsius. It is also resistant to drought. The plant has a well-developed root system that reaches deep into the ground, allowing the leaves and flowers to draw moisture from the deeper layers of the soil. Safflower needs moisture only shortly before and during its active flowering period. It matures when most of the leaves turn brown, approximately 30 days after flowering. Regular consumption of safflower oil helps normalize cholesterol levels and reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The oil does not contain carbohydrates, but it has protein, which strengthens the immune system and enhances the body's defenses.
Currently, the United States and Kazakhstan are the two obvious leaders in safflower oil production. It is hoped that the enthusiasts of "Sekiz bag" will put in maximum effort and contribute to the development of this essential product for us. There are plenty of reasons for such an optimistic forecast. The company has been cultivating a rich harvest of cotton, wheat, sesame, rapeseed and sunflower on its own territories for several years. The enterprise has purchased and installed special equipment for vegetable oil production. Last year, the farm produced about 30,000 liters of vegetable oil. Now, "Sekiz bag" plans to expand production and export its products to foreign markets.
