A system of non-cash transfers of funds to charity by citizens will be introduced in Turkmenistan. Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs H. Geldimyradov spoke about the introduction of digital technologies in the economy, including the introduction of remote payment services for charitable purposes, at a government meeting via video link.

According to him, the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, created on the initiative of Hero-Arkadag, provides financial assistance for various operations to children in medical institutions of the country, for the treatment of young patients brought up in orphanages, specialized schools and boarding schools, as well as for the purchase of medical supplies.

With the support of the Foundation, humanitarian assistance was provided to a number of states. In this regard, it was reported that letters of gratitude were received from different countries and the representative office of the UN Children's Fund in Turkmenistan to the Charitable Fund, which emphasized its role in strengthening the ties of friendship between states and peoples.

In this context, a proposal was reported on the introduction of mobile software «Senagat töleg», developed by the Joint Stock Commercial Bank «Senagat» and intended for non-cash transfers of funds by citizens to charity.

After listening to the report, the head of Turkmenistan noted the importance of the activities of the Charitable Foundation for providing assistance to children in need of care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with the support of which people in need of care are systematically provided with assistance, and humanitarian aid is sent to children in foreign countries. The head of state approved the proposal for citizens to voluntarily transfer charitable funds to the Fund’s account through a digital system; President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out appropriate work in this direction.
