On 15 - 20 April 2024, Ashgabat will host the 2nd Open International Olympiad in Informatics among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan and foreign countries, organized by the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev (IUOG).
The Olympiad will also host the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Students' Scientific Views in the period of the Revival of the New Epoch of the Powerful State".
According to the website of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan, representatives of several Russian universities will also take part in the Olympiad among the participants from different countries. These universities include Kazan National Research Technological University (KNRTU) and Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev, which are located in the consular district of the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Kazan. Specifically, 9 students from KNRTU and 5 students from Samara National Research University will participate in the Olympiad.
According to the information provided by IUOG, the Olympiad will be held in two stages as an individual championship. The Olympiad is open to students studying in specialist, bachelor's and master's programs of any specialty and direction.
The participation of Russian universities in the International Olympiad in Informatics in Ashgabat highlights the desire of students and teachers for active exchange of knowledge and experience with colleagues from other countries. Participation in such events contributes to professional growth, enrichment of experience and strengthening of international relations, promoting the development of the scientific community and education.
