The concert under such an intriguing name took place at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva. On stage, students of the department of pop art demonstrated their skills in the musical accompaniment of the pop orchestra of the conservatory under the direction of Maysa Mammetjumayeva.
The concert program itself opened with the Turkmen folk song «Bilmen» performed by Amantagan Bayjanov. The performance of the aspiring pop vocalist was accompanied by a dance group from the choreographic department of the Turkmen State Music School named after Danatar Ovezov.
The performance of Halmyrat Begenjov and Atamyrat Baratov with the song «Musical Teahouse» was spectacular. The first to appear on stage were musicians with Uzbek folk instruments karnay. The charismatic look and sound of the carnaya, the favourite melody of the song from the repertoire of Faruh Zakirov and the performing skills of the variety students left an unforgettable impression.
And at the same time, the intrigue in the name of the concert was also unraveled. This is a performance of popular songs of Eastern peoples. And as if to confirm the solution, the number of the concert program was announced: the Azerbaijani folk song «Sary gälin» performed by Selim Geldimyradov.
Iskender Nurmuhammedov, Sahy Allayarov, Humay Kakayeva, Leyli Mammedova performed before the audience. Tazegul Bayramova. It is noteworthy that the audience received the performance of Sahy Allayarov’s songs with delight. All the soloists ended the concert with a joint performance of the song «Dünýä Dursun Parahat».
The head of the department of pop art, artistic director and conductor of the pop orchestra, twice winner of the «Turkmeniň Altyn asyry» award, Maysa Mammetjumayeva, thanked all the concert participants and listeners who supported the beginning singers of the Turkmen pop singer with friendly applause.
The students made a special impression on the audience with the variety of characteristic national melodies, manner of performance, ethnographic costumes and dance characteristics of the peoples of the East.
