Students of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan performed admirably at the XVIII International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics among university students, held in Gomel (Republic of Belarus) from April 22 to 25.
According to the results of the Olympiad, four students of the institute - Ayna Yazjumaeva, Gyzylgul Gylychgeldiyeva, Shohrat Babamyradov and Dovlet Suvhanberdiyev - won third places.

The Olympiad, organized by the Belarusian State University of Transport, consisted of two competitions - theoretical (individual and team event) and a team competition for solving short problems "Brain Ring".
The theoretical competition lasted 4 hours. Within its framework, students were offered 8 problems (2 - in statics, 2 - in kinematics and 4 - in dynamics). In these sections of theoretical mechanics, 30 short problems were included the team competition "Brain Ring", which lasted for an hour.
As noted by the organizers, the Olympiad presented quite complex problems developed by the head of the Department of Technical Physics and Theoretical Mechanics of the Belarusian University. Participants had a good opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and preparation. The XVIII International Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics was attended by students from 20 universities of 4 countries - Belarus, China, Turkmenistan and Russia.
