On the occasion of the Turkmen Carpet Holiday, a carpet products competition has been announced under the name - "Turkmen carpet is our national pride".

It is organized by the State Association "Türkmenhaly", the Central Council of the Women’s Union of Turkmenistan and the National Center of Trade Unions of the country. The exhibition competition is taking place in the "Türkmeniň ak öýi" building in Balkanabat.

In the first stage, the competition was held in the etraps of Balkan velayat. The velayat level consisted of three nominations - "Beauty Woven from Secrets", "Handmade Miracle" and "Continuation of Beauty". The most impressive here were the carpet works reflecting the life and everyday situations of Turkmen people (weddings, holidays, etc.).

The winners of the competition were announced as: Oguljeren Orazgulyyeva, Gulshen Berdigylyjova, Khojabibi Gochmyradova, Jumagul Saparmammedova and Bayramsoltan Gapurova. Many of them will become participants in the republican competition.
